PRIVACY AND CHILD DATA

Classroom data deserves careful treatment.

A plain-language explanation of what ClassVillage collects, why it is needed and how schools, teachers and families stay in control.

Who this covers

This notice explains how ClassVillage handles information from teachers, schools, students and family members. ClassVillage is currently operated by Michael Premo during its test phase. If the contracting business changes before launch, this notice will be updated.

Schools and teachers decide which classroom records to enter. For those records, the school or teacher generally controls the educational purpose and ClassVillage processes the information to provide the service.

Information we collect

  • Teacher account information, including name, email address, optional school and role.
  • Classroom information entered by a teacher, such as student names, class membership, attendance, points, behavior categories, progress, rewards, homework and activity history.
  • Student and family access codes, customization choices and session information. Students do not need an email address to use their classroom code.
  • Technical records needed for security, reliability, synchronization and support.
  • Subscription status, transaction identifiers and billing metadata. Paddle processes card details; ClassVillage does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

How information is used

We use information only to operate ClassVillage: authenticate users, display the correct classroom, record teacher-directed activity, synchronize devices, provide student and family views, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and improve reliability.

No advertising business model.

ClassVillage does not sell student information, build advertising profiles from classroom activity or use child data for targeted advertising.

Children and school use

ClassVillage is designed for teacher- or school-authorized educational use. Teachers create student records and issue limited codes. Student and family accounts can access only the child and functions assigned to that code.

Schools and teachers are responsible for providing required notices and obtaining parent or guardian consent where their local law requires it. ClassVillage will support reasonable school or parent requests to access, correct, export or delete a child’s information.

ClassVillage should not be used to collect sensitive personal details that the product does not request, such as a child’s home address, personal phone number, government identifier or private medical record.

Sharing and service providers

Information is shared only when needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect users or complete a transaction. Current service categories include application hosting and security infrastructure, database and storage services, and Paddle for checkout, taxes, receipts and subscription administration.

We do not allow service providers to use classroom data for their own advertising.

Retention and deletion

Classroom records remain available while the teacher account is active or while they are needed to provide the service. Teachers can export records, archive students and permanently delete archived student profiles. Account-wide deletion and school deletion requests are handled through support.

Deleted information may remain briefly in protected backups or operational logs before normal deletion cycles complete, unless longer retention is legally required.

Security and international use

ClassVillage uses scoped access controls, authenticated teacher ownership, limited student and family codes, encrypted web connections, revision checks, backups and recovery safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security.

Because ClassVillage is intended for worldwide use, information may be processed in countries other than the user’s own. Schools that need contractual transfer terms or a signed data-processing agreement should complete that review before production use.

Your choices and requests

Teachers can review and export classroom data from the product. They can reset child or family access codes, revoke sessions and delete eligible student profiles. Privacy, correction and deletion requests can be sent to privacy@getclassvillage.com or started through the support center.

The final U.S. business identity and mailing address will be added before production billing opens.
